ASSIGNMENT

Sudanese Darfur survivor Ibrahim holds human skulls at the site of a mass grave on the outskirts of the West Darfur town of Mukjar, Sudan, April 23, 2007.

The human bones and skulls are hard to hide in this corner of Darfur.

They lie just a few inches below the surface in a mass grave here.

Some bones poke above the dirt, surrounded by half-buried, rotting clothes.
